The promise
Working in daylight since 2011, from a studio in Margate and on location across the south east.
I photograph people the way they actually are: in their own rooms, in whatever the weather is doing, in the middle of a conversation. No lighting rigs, no long lists of poses, nobody asked to look happier than they feel. What you get back is a set of photographs you will still like in ten years.

The work
Families, couples, one person on their own. An hour or two at home, or somewhere you actually like being.
From $450, around 40 edited images
Full days, small ceremonies, and the slow morning before it all starts. I work quietly and stay out of the way.
From $1,900, full day coverage
Rooms, makers, products and the people behind a business. Shot on location, in whatever light the day gives us.

About me
I have been photographing people in daylight for fourteen years, first as a picture editor's assistant in London and since 2016 from a small studio above a bakery in Margate.
I take a short list of bookings a year so that nothing is rushed. You deal with me from the first email to the day the files land: I answer my own phone, I shoot the day myself, and I edit every frame you receive. If we are a good fit I will tell you, and if we are not I will point you at someone who is.

How it works
Four steps, no surprises. You will know the price, the timings and the delivery date before you commit to anything.
Tell me the date, the place, and roughly what you have in mind. There is no form to fill in if you would rather just write me an email.
Twenty minutes on the phone, or a coffee in Margate if you are nearby. We settle the timings, the locations and the price before anything is booked.
I arrive early, work in whatever light there is, and stay out of the way. Nobody is asked to hold a pose they would not hold anyway.
A private gallery of edited images, yours to download at full size and print however you like. Prints and albums are available if you want them.
